Once upon a time there was a book about an ogre who goes on an adventure by leaving his house and saving a princess along the way. In a world where any story can be turned into a movie, this book certainly caught the eye of some lovely suitors at Dreamworks. There were changes to be made to get the story ready for the big screen though. This included adding all the different fairy-tale characters that were not in the original book. The other change for the movie was Princess Fiona. The princess in the book was always an ogre. However, in the movie, Princess Fiona starts off as human cursed to be an Ogre at night.
